Going hand in hand with the marine transportation is the ocean shipping industry. In year 2007, China''s shipbuilding industry key indicators show substantial growth. Exports of shipbuilding’s products grow rapidly. The annual realized value of 44.8 billion Yuan, compared with year 2006, increased by 17.6 percent. Shipbuilding completion has a breakthrough of 18 million dwt, the new orders received rank first in the world, exceeded 70 million dwt. Liaoning Province value-added in marine shipbuilding industry occupies the country’s marine shipbuilding industry by 29.5 percent, ranking first in the country. Behind the prosperous marine transportation, the demand for coastal tourism continued to show strong expansion trend. In year 2007, the added value of China''s coastal tourism reached 324.2 billion Yuan, compared with year 2006, increased by 19.9 percent. |
