On the same day at 16:00, the terminal security discovered an unidentified ship heading towards the pier, at number 4 berth, during that time at number 4 berth, a vessel named "Pacific Rainbow" is unloading gasoline, if the unidentified ship hit the terminal or external vessel, it would result in incalculable consequences. Since the incident has threaten the port’s safety, our security personnel immediately report to the head of Safety and Security Department, he will informed safety team through the walkie-talkie, then the boat’s personnel immediately rushed to the terminal and inform the terminal’s security personnel and raise the security alert to level 2. At 16:05, fire engines, safety and security personnel rushed to the terminal, gather at the terminal main door, Mr. Li the assistant manager assigned duty to the team personnel, the first group led by Lu Guizhang with five personnel driving 2 maritime patrol boats patrolling the sea, the second group led by Li Dazhi with five personnel responsible for the terminal’s berths patrolling. The third group consists of 2 safety personnel responsible for the terminal to surrounding pipeline patrol, the remaining personnel manned the key terminal’s post, strengthen security to prevent strangers from entering. Each group after receiving their orders immediately split up and does a thoroughly patrolling on the terminal, pipelines and the sea. The first group with 2 speedboats moving closer to number 4 berth and chased the suspicious ship away, warned them to leave our terminal’s water. The second group and third group patrolling every berths’ outer pipelines did not find any unusual incidents, they also did not find any suspicious persons, thus ruled out the possibility of someone sneaking into the terminal. Security exercises concluded successfully at 16:30. Through this port security exercise, the participating personnel deepen their understanding of the "Port Facility Security Code," further enhance the awareness of the personnel participating in the exercise, and train their response capability in time of unexpected incident, training a team . capable of overcome every challenges that come along the way by laying a good foundation |
